Gift Guide: Type Five

Looking for something special for your favorite Enneagram Five? Can’t decide what to pick up for your friend or roommate? You’re in luck! These gift guides are here to help you with your holiday shopping (and don’t forget to pick up a little something for yourself as well).

When I asked on Instagram, Fives were most interested in gifts for their specific hobbies and interests (when in doubt, cash is a great option because they’ve already thoroughly researched what they want). Not all Fives want “nerdy” stuff, but many Fives have specific and unique hobbies. They might love makeup and will be excited to receive a new, thoroughly vetted contouring brush, or they might love coffee and would be interested in a specific new grinder their favorite brand released. In any case, stick to a list, give them cash, or default to practicalities they really need.

HERE’S THE FULL LIST OF MOST-REQUESTED GIFTS FROM FIVES:

Not sure what type you are? Here’s a little more about Fives.

Enneagram Fives are observant and cerebral. They are motivated by a need to gain information and understand everything they possibly can. Fives are in the Head or Fear triad, and they use endless pursuit of knowledge as a shield against feeling afraid. Fives begin each day with a measured amount of energy, and they conserve their limited resources in order to avoid being depleted.
